wedding
A wedding is often associated with the white dress, the tuxedo, and all the familiar traditions. But at its heart, it is about two people and the way their lives have come together.
Rather than letting appearances define the occasion, I believe the people should define what their wedding is. Whether quiet, cinematic, unconventional, or deeply personal, the images should honour the nature of the relationship — not just the shape of the celebration.
In the Mood at Kam Leng
Some couples step away from the traditional wedding look in search of something more cinematic and personal. This pre-wedding photoshoot in Singapore was inspired by the iconic mood of In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai, leaning into nostalgia, intimacy, and quiet romance.
Set in Kam Leng Hotel, Singapore, the space carried a beautiful 70s atmosphere. The rustic walls, vintage furniture, and warm lighting did much of the storytelling. With the right wardrobe, hair, and make-up, the session became a subtle homage to a timeless cinematic mood. A thematic couple photoshoot shaped by colour, setting, and emotion.
Wedding Day, Rock Spirit
A rock-and-roll inspired wedding portrait shoot was never meant to look too clean. Before the session, we explored locations and planned a shot list that could carry the couple’s attitude, grit, and edge.
It was hot, greasy, and rough around the edges — with a few cockroaches keeping us company. But that was part of the story. Rock and roll was never meant to be spotless.
